Anyone can learn to ride and play "the sport of kings" by taking polo lessons using one of our reliable polo ponies or on your own horse - no experience necessary!
Once you’re hooked, become a club member so you can participate in practices and tournaments.
School age players can join the youth team, try out for the Interscholastic polo team, or attend summer day camp!

Prior riding experience is required, but no prior polo experience necessary. The clinic includes use of one of Triangle Area Polo’s trained polo lesson horses as well as polo mallets.

Triangle Area Polo will be playing at the inaugural Harnett Health Foundation Polo Match in Harnett County to raise funds in support of the Harnett HealthCare Foundation!
This full day of events includes a classical equestrian riding exhibition, a parade of automobiles from the Horseless Carriage club of America, an exciting polo match played by Triangle Area Polo Club, and Kentucky Derby Watching After-Party.

This unique event helps support the Shepherd Youth Ranch Buy a table and grab some friends for the BEST benefit of the year while spectating at an exciting indoor polo match in the heated arena at the state fairgrounds!
"Tailgating" tables will be judged in categories of best food, best signature drink, best dressed table and best overall theme. We encourage you and your party to be outgoing and innovative with your style and flavor. Have fun and pat yourself on the back - By being a part of the Triangle Indoor "Tailgate", you are doing something GREAT for our community! This is a UNIQUE event - If you have questions, please contact us at hope@shepherdyouthranch.org. Catered tables are offered for individuals that are not interested in the table competition but want to be included in the fun and giving!

If you are interested in learning more about polo or how you can get involved with the Triangle Area Polo club then register for Polo 101!
You will spend a full day being introduced to the sport of polo and learning more about how you can get involved in all the fun and excitement at Triangle Area Polo.
You will be greeted when you arrive and then will get to rotate through various stations where you will learn to hit a polo ball, be taught the basic rules of the game, and find out how to care for a polo pony.
You will be served a catered lunch by the side of the polo field or arena and get to observe a club practice.
The day will wrap up with a presentation where your will receive a gift and photo memento of your experience.
