Anyone can learn to ride and play "the sport of kings" by taking polo lessons using one of our reliable polo ponies or on your own horse - no experience necessary!

Once you’re hooked, become a club member so you can participate in practices and tournaments.

School age players can join the youth team, try out for the Interscholastic polo team, or attend summer day camp!

Lessons

Almost anyone can learn to ride and play polo on one of Triangle Area Polo's safe and dependable polo ponies under the expert guidance of USPA certified instructor David Brooks!  No prior riding or playing experience is needed, but polo is also a great opportunity for experienced riders to try something new, challenging, fun and exciting! 

Students will start out with an introductory lesson and assessment. David will consult with the student to devise an individualized plan to become a polo player. Beginning riders may take additional private lessons or participate in the Earn Your Mallet riding clinics. More experienced riders can join one of the weekly group lessons focussed on Skills & Drills or Rules & Tactics. When ready a rider can become a playing member of the club to participate in weekly practices.
